I think it’s a shame that European consumers, and gamers from all other parts of the world other than the United States and Japan, have to miss out, or at least have to undergo a significant delay, on this piece of the next-gen pie.
For some gamers, the main point behind having next-gen hardware is having the latest, and getting “the cutting-edge” at least 3 months behind your American and Japanese counterparts contradicts the entire point of being cutting-edge.
How difficult is it to synchronize release dates across the world? Geographical location is becoming less of a factor nowadays, and I don’t think that it should be a factor at all.
But then again, I can’t really afford a PS3… I’m part of the market that waits for the price-drops .
