My Notes about Airport Mania: First Flight

Airport Mania: First Flight is a very well-done click management game developed by Reflexive. I had a lot of fun playing this game, which unfortunately ended very quickly, this being a Flash version that promotes the downloadable version of the game.

For those of you who are not familiar with how click management games are played, the in-game instructions should help you understand how to play the game. Here are three tips, which unfortunately are not given early enough in the game, which you might find helpful: 1) In the first levels, planes typically go from the sky, to the runway, to the gate, and back to the runway - so your clicks go in that order. Later on, the planes might choose to make additional stops. 2) It's wise to let planes of the same color take the same gates - the gates themselves will be colored to remind you of this. 3) Plane actions can be queued, but if you want to cancel the activity queue, you can double-click on the plane.

Each level provides score achievements to help you measure how well you play the game, and at the same time encourage you to go for a higher score. At the same time, being able to reach the higher score achievements unlocks additional game features. This is a very well-done game that is worth a try, and if you feel that the demo is too short, then you should definitely purchase the full version! :D

Welcome! My name is Chuck Arellano, and making simple computer games is my hobby. I post the games that I make here, as well as some other games that I like which were made by other people. I hope to add a new game to this site everyday, and to upload my own game every week. Currently, I'm focusing on making games using the Adobe Flex SDK, but I also make games using Pygame. You can read more about it at my game programming blog. I hope you enjoy your stay here, and I would love to hear your comments and suggestions!
